Madison Indiana
I am a HOBBY breeder, I breed for health, temperament and for great rats =)
I am located in Madison, Indiana (47250).
I have been owned by rats since 2005, my love of rats started in High School with Elvis and Molly.
I am working on establishing my own lines.
I will be focusing on as follows:
American Blue
Hooded
Hairless
Rex and Double Rex
I will stay on goal and try not to tread off into too many other areas.
One day in the far future I may introduce dwarf and down unders into my lines.
Feel free to email me with any questions, comments or concerns you would like me to address at [email protected].

A little more about Me
My name is Stacy, I am a 2007 graduate from Trimble County High School. I am currently enrolled in Ivy Tech Community College, I was majoring in Business but recently changed it general studies so I can explore all my options. I wanted to focus more on genetics and business to help with the rattery as this is something I plan on doing for a long time and I hope to grow as a person and a breeder to better the rats I am breeding in all aspects.
I currently work a full time job with a company called Anthony Wayne Services also known as AWS, you can learn more about this company at awsusa.com. It is something different then I have normally done but I love it. For once I have a stable job with good hours and I totally love it here. I have the weekends off which gives me plenty of time for my rats as well.
I have been a pet lover my whole life, I have always had some sort of furry companion. When I was in high school I got my first two rats and I just loved them to pieces. I also dabbled in other small animals as well and have plenty of experiences with them. I moved around a lot growing up (went to more than 16 schools including 6 different high schools) so animals were always there for me and stable. When I lived in Reading Ohio, I worked as a CSR for Domino's pizza and did co-op in school. I didn't know a lot about the kids there so every pay day I went to a local pet store and brought home some sort of fuzzy until I had a little bit of everything.
I now have a nice little family including my dogs Molly, Jesco and Pollly. Our six cats, Averyjoun (everyone), Emmit, Jameson, Rusty, River and Luke. Of course my little rat clan. I have always taken in unwanted animals and helped them find good homes, I do a lot of work with rescues and I am an avid believer of spaying and neutering your pets. I support my local animal shelter (_Madison Animal Shelter) when I have the funds and the time to volunteer. I also highly recommend Bridges for Animals (BFA) spay and neutering. I have gotten most of my animals done through them and they also offer reasonable micro-chipping as well.
I am also a foster mom for Bluegrass Basset Rescue. I recently started fostering for this particular rescue because 1. I love to help an animal in need. 2. I have always wanted a basset and plan to eventually find a reputable basset breeder and get a puppy. So being a foster mom is helping that particular pup/adult/senior dog prepare for a new family as well as give me some hands on experience with the breed.
I also foster for Halo's Haven when I have the space and time available. I also volunteer my time and help with their website. They pull dogs from kill shelters on death row and work with them to become well adjusted dogs and help them find families to love them for life. They are doing amazing things for dogs who no one else seems to care about and has saved a lot of lives.
I am a very open person and fairly easy to work with. If you have any questions about me, my rattery or anything in general please feel free to contact me. I will do my best to answer your questions and will always be honest and open. :)
